Meet Tim...
Following an early career in arts and broadcasting management at Nottingham Playhouse and the BBC, I joined the advancement team at the University of Nottingham, taking lead responsibility for developing and implementing individual giving strategies for its first campus-wide campaign.
Having graduated from Trent Polytechnic with an economics degree, returning to Nottingham Trent University with a brief to set up its alumni relations and philanthropy programmes was a gilt-edged opportunity for me. And so it proved to be.
Over the following two decades I helped to establish the university's reputation as a sector-leader in building and sustaining powerful relationships with its alumni and friends. A consistent 'top five' performer when benchmarked alongside its peers, NTU was winner of the Times Education Management and Leadership Award for University Fundraising Team of the Year 2009.
With almost 30 years in the field, today I am an experienced and knowledgeable senior manager and leader. It's a journey that has taken a course covering campaigns, office start-ups and building high-performing teams, marked by creative problem solving and the tenacity to never give up (one of my mentors described it as 'pleasant persistence'). The knowledge, skills and experience I have accumulated during my career in school and university advancement, and before, are extensive. I'm a 'doer' too - I love to make things happen!
So, whether you're already on the path to success, if you're beginning to take your first steps along that path, or if you want to begin to walk, give me a call! I can help your organisation plan, and execute, its own successful advancement programme.
